Time: 10:30 am

Time travel to the Depression Era on Saturday, February 22, when Historic Jacksonville, Inc. invites you to become part of history during our Beekman House “1932 Living History” tours! Cornelius C. Beekman was the most prominent and wealthiest of Jacksonville’s pioneers. Join the cast of our 1932 “play,” interacting with historical interpreters portraying his adult children, Ben and Carrie Beekman, their Aunt Kate Hoffman, and former housekeeper Louise Minear, as they close up the family’s 1873 Jacksonville home, go through closets and cupboards, comment on Depression Era life, and share memories of growing up in the late 1800s. “Calling hours” are 10:30 am, 11:30 am, 1 pm, and 2 pm at the Beekman House Museum, located at 470 E. California Street in Jacksonville. Admission: $8, adults; $5, seniors/students.
