Victorian Days – Note our new times!

Join Historic Jacksonville between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. on the third Saturday of each month from May through October for our Victorian Days tours and activities at Jacksonville’s historic Beekman House Museum.  These monthly 1-hour tours and related activities provide a glimpse into different aspects of life in the late 1800s as viewed through the lens of the gold mining town of Jacksonville and the Beekman family, the town’s most prominent and wealthiest pioneers.

5/20 – Victorian Art & Decor
“From Comfort to Excess”

6/17 – Victorian Hobbies & Crafts
“Leisure Doesn’t Mean Idleness!”

7/15 – Victorian Etiquette

8/19 – Victorian Health & Medicine – “From Practice to Profession”

9/16 – 19th Century Industrial Revolution – “Newfangled Inventions”

In October we’ll host a special 2-day event:

All activities are at Jacksonville’s 1873 C.C. Beekman House Museum, located at 470 E. California Street.  Tours are offered every 15 minutes.  Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for seniors and students.  Lawn activities are free.
