Donate to History!

Jacksonville, Oregon’s Historic Landmark District was the first group of buildings on the West Coast to go on the National Historic Register as a group.  But without programs and activities, these buildings are just old structures with names and dates on them.  Help Historic Jacksonville, Inc.’s mission is to both preserve our town’s historic buildings and provide programs and activities that make these structures come alive.

Your donation will help us not only continue our mission, but also assist us in devising new ways and new avenues for sharing the stories of the people who transformed a gold rush town into Southern Oregon’s 19th Century social, governmental, and commercial hub.

Your support helps us bring history to life…and life to history!

You may specify where your donation will go. Click the Donate button to go to the donation page and choose from the pop-down either General Operations or the new Jacksonville Museum.

And if you’re not familiar with the Oregon Cultural Trust, it’s a great opportunity to benefit both yourself and the arts!

When you donate to Historic Jacksonville, Inc. (or another recognized Oregon cultural nonprofit) and donate a matching amount to the Trust, you can deduct the amount you donate to the Trust from any money you owe Oregon in your annual income tax filing, so essentially your donation to the Trust is FREE! You’re allowed a tax reduction of up to $500 as an individual; 1,000 for a couple filing jointly; and $2,500 for a Class-C Corporation.
