AN EVENTFUL YEAR!
2016 was a record year for Historic Jacksonville with expanded activities and new programs and tours! This was made possible through the help and support of the individuals and organizations below.
Thanks to our “village” of supporters, we expanded our Victorian Themes, our 1932 Living History, and our Victorian Christmas activities at Jacksonville’s historic Beekman House. Thanks to grants from the Jackson County Cultural Coalition and the City of Jacksonville Lodging Tax fund, we opened the 1863 Beekman Bank, the oldest bank in the Pacific Northwest, for four days a week between Memorial Day weekend and Labor Day and for every weekend during Victorian Christmas. And we created two new incredibly popular programs–“Pioneer History in Story & Song” featuring David Gordon and “Jacksonville Haunted History” walking tours.
Look for still more events, programs and activities in 2017 as, with your support, Historic Jacksonville continues its efforts to bring life to history and bring history to life!
